Himmah is a registered UK charity based in Nottingham. Our work brings together food support, community spaces, culture, and organising to respond to hardship while building long-term community power. We focus on meeting immediate needs, such as access to food and practical support, while also creating spaces for healing and reflection.

Many of the communities we work alongside have experienced racism, poverty, displacement, and other forms of trauma. Our work recognises this and creates room for recovery and resilience, whether through food, culture, counselling, or community-led support. Alongside this, we focus on building power with communities by supporting people to connect, organise, and shape the services, spaces, and decisions that affect their lives.

Himmah is powered by a committed team of staff, volunteers, trustees, and partners who care deeply about Nottingham. Together, we work across neighbourhoods and cultures to strengthen community infrastructure, support leadership, and build lasting alternatives rooted in dignity, shared ownership, and collective action.
